The investment in renewable energy specifically in solar and wind energy farms is the way defined by BIM Group, represented by BIM Energy, to contribute environmental protection through significantly reducing greenhouse gas emissions and waste products from fossil fuel uses, thereby building a sustainable energy source for the future. In particular, the entire area of the solar and wind power plants cluster is located on a 2,500-ha salt field, forming the largest green economic complex producing clean energy and salt in Vietnam.

In April 2019, BIM Energy inaugurated its first cluster of solar power plants with a total investment of VND 7,060 billion in Ninh Thuan province, one of the most significant projects in Southeast Asia at that time. In 2020, a total capacity of 405MWp is reached. Over one million solar panels turn out over 665 million kilowatt hours (kWh) of electricity each year, meeting the demand of 200,000 households. The cluster of three solar power plants has contributed over VND500 billion to the State budget and created nearly 200 jobs for laborers.

BIM Wind Power Plant was commenced in 2021 in the context of the stressful Covid-19 epidemic. After 11 months of construction, BIM Energy officially put the Plant into commercial operation on September 30, 2021, proving its stature and professionalism. BIM Wind Power Plant with a total capacity of 88MW, total investment capital of 158 million USD, and production output of about more than 317GWh/year. It meets the electricity demand of 50,000 households per year and has contributed over VND210 billion to the State budget as of 2021.

In September 2021, BIM Energy officially put BIM Wind Power Plant into commercial operation and completed the first stage of BIM Group's strategy in implementing sustainable exploitation, and optimization of land resources with the largest renewable energy and salt production in Vietnam.
For building a model of mixed economic development on an area of 2,500 hectares in 15 years (since 2006), VND 12,000 billion has been invested in projects in Ninh Thuan. The achievement is evidence of long-term and sustainable land resources exploitation, turning the challenges of a locality into business advantages, and contributing to changing Ninh Thuan's image in the nation's economic development in general.
